Hybrid schools that take PEP in Palm Beach County

In a PEP hybrid the child sits in a private school classroom at least two full days a week, and the household's learning plan fills the remaining days. The state flags 16 Palm Beach County schools as PEP participants.

What makes a school a PEP hybrid?

Three conditions apply: the school appears in the state directory as eligible, the child is not enrolled full time, and in-person attendance reaches two full days a week. The PEP account can then pay tuition and the usual eligible fees.

What does a family keep when tuition is below the award?

When a hybrid charges less than the $8,288 grade 4-8 award, whatever remains in the account can go toward curriculum, tutoring, electives and testing; check each school's tuition, since the state does not publish it. Palm Beach County held the second-largest PEP population in Florida in 2025-26, at 3,928 funded students.

How can a family find a PEP school here?

In our directory, each school with the state's PEP flag carries a PEP tag on its page. A school can claim its page to post schedules and tuition.

Can FES-UA families use a hybrid school?

Yes. FES-UA can pay tuition at an eligible private school, including a hybrid, and a Student Learning Plan is part of the arrangement.
