Which Palm Beach County private schools serve students with autism, dyslexia or ADHD?

The state directory lists 35 Palm Beach County private schools that report serving autism spectrum disorder, 34 that report specific learning disability and 24 that report other health impairment, the category that includes ADHD. Dedicated schools such as Mountaineer's School of Autism and Boca School for Autism appear in the record alongside general-education schools.

What does FES-UA pay for a Palm Beach County student?

For 2026-27, FES-UA pays $11,054 in K-3, $10,452 in grades 4-8 and $10,255 in grades 9-12 at matrix levels 1-3 for Palm Beach County residents, and more for higher matrix levels. The account can pay tuition, licensed therapies, credentialed tutors and approved materials.

The Private School Scholarship pays less ($8,890, $8,288, $8,091) but is not limited to students with a diagnosis.

How should a family choose between FES-UA and the standard award?

A student can hold one or the other. FES-UA is larger and flexible but requires documentation and a purchasing-guide-compliant spending plan, while the standard award pays a school directly with less paperwork.

Families with a diagnosis should also consider the therapy services they want; only FES-UA can pay for ABA, speech or occupational therapy.

What is the deadline?

New FES-UA applications for 2026-27 closed on November 15, 2026. A family that missed it should plan for the 2027-28 window, expected to open February 1, 2027.

The purchasing and award rules are the same year-round.
